The call was promoted by the ICOM Italia Learning Center and followed by the working group on Multimedia and Emerging Technologies. It was open to students and recent graduates whose BA or MA thesis, discussed in 2024 or 2025, dealt with digital technologies for museums and cultural heritage. Yesterday the seven selected theses were presented in a public webinar, where mine was introduced by Paolo Mazzanti. The printed copies will be kept at CEDOM, ICOM Italia’s museum documentation centre at the Biblioteca Marzio Tremaglia of Regione Lombardia.

The thesis is about
, the weekly newspaper that U.S. personnel printed in Foggia between December 1945 and August 1946, and about turning its digitised issues into an Open Educational Resource.

You can watch the
or download the
, which includes all the submissions to the call. Many thanks to ICOM Italia and to the evaluation committee!
